I am a freelance writer in North Louisiana. My writing has appeared in Louisiana Cookin' Magazine, Southern Tour Magazine, The Shreveport Times, and Louisiana Road Trips magazine. I am currently working on a collection of short fiction.
Beginning the last week of May and extending throughout the summer, editors Janet Allured, Judith Gentry and several contributors will be giving talks and signings of the book Louisiana Women: Their Lives and Times at the Ouachita Parish Public Library. These adult programs will cover the lives of many remarkable Louisiana female natives including Kate Chopin, Marie Laveau, Dorothy Dix, Baroness Pontalba, Clementine Hunter, and many more.
